Lawyer / Specialist in Criminal Law
After taking her degree in law at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster and serving her legal clerkship at Hagen Regional Court, Dr. Rausch-Bernsmann worked as an assistant at the Chair for Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law at the Ruhr-Universität-Bochum. During this time, she obtained her doctorate with “summa cum laude” in the field of criminal law on corruption. Her dissertation received the Aulinger Award for the best achievement in business criminal law in 2007.
After completing her dissertation, Dr. Rausch-Bernsmann worked in the legal department of a large German energy corporation in the field of compliance and international legal consultancy. She has been a self-employed lawyer since 2013, first in Cologne and then in Düsseldorf. Since 2016, Dr. Rausch-Bernsmann has been working together with Prof. Dr. Bernsmann in the joint law firm. Dr. Rausch-Bernsmann works exclusively in the field of criminal law. She is a legal specialist in criminal law.
Dr. Rausch-Bernsmann is a visiting lecturer at the Ruhr-Universität-Bochum. She speaks fluent German, English, Russian and Italian.
